Code violations.

The
Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs has announced
that it will be conducting an inspection of 3133 Connecticut
Ave., N.W. for housing code violations.
This
inspection is not at the instigation of the building owner,
but due to complaints tenants have had with the building.
Linked
below is a preliminary checklist of items regarding potential
housing code violations to help you determine whether there
is a housing code violation in your unit. Please review it
to determine if there are items that need to be brought to
the inspectors' attention.
You must be home for the inspector to enter your apartment
to document any housing code violations.
The building
management does not have a right to accompany the inspectors
into your unit and you can request that building personnel
stay outside the unit while the inspector inspects your unit.
For more information regarding the inspection process and
documenting housing code violations, please attend the Tenants'
Rights Forum on November 18, 2006 at Maret School - the morning
session will cover housing code violations and housing inspections.
